Taco Toast recipes

- 1/2 cup butter or margarine
- 1 loaf Texas toast thick bread
- 1-2 cup shredded cheddar cheese or colby-monterey jack cheese (to personal preference)
- 1 1/4 ounces taco seasoning mix (like Taco Bell)

- 1 lb ground beef (or turkey)- browned and drained
- 1/2 small onion- chopped
- 1 can diced tomatoes- UNdrained
- 1 can whole kernel corn- drained
- 1 large can tomato sauce
- 1/2 tsp sugar
- 1 can chili beans (or light red kidney beans)- drained
- 1 packet of mild taco seasoning

- 3Tsp Olive oil
- 1 pound ground turkey
- 1 medium white onion- chopped
- 1 small green pepper-chopped.
- 1 envelope taco seasoning
