This dish is my son's favorite persian dish. He asks mem to make it for him everytime he comes home since "no one makes it like you Mom!". I am sure you also will enjoy it. It is best served with garlic yogurt sauce (although plain will do just fine). My son sometimes sprinkles salt to taste since I try to keep my cooking low in sodium for my husband. Enjoy!
This pizza takes minutes to make and is loaded with delicious toppings. A fork may be required!
Such a fast, tastey, creamy dip that is the conversation of any gathering in no time. It is best served with toasted pita chips or tosted french bread...
"Honey and ginger provide a sweet and spicy flavor combination for salmon or chicken. Just substitute 4 boneless, skinless breasts for the salmon."
"This is so easy to prepare and everyone raves about it. The best part is that you can put it together the night before and just pop it in the oven the next morning. Delicious!"
"When I was young we produced several ingredients for this longtime favorite on the farm. We raised pumpkins in our large vegetable garden, and made homemade butter and lots of sour cream from our dairy herd."
"Pita bread is the crust for these single-serving pizzas that get Mediterranean flair from olives, spinach and feta cheese. Breadsticks and a wedge of iceberg lettuce drizzled with salad dressing (pictured above right) make fine pizza partners. Or serve an appetizer of fresh vegetables with dip, then cap off the meal with lemon Italian ice."
"WHEN our two children went away to school, I had to learn how to adjust my recipes for just my husband and me. There were too many leftovers! I started gathering recipes with smaller amounts, and my daughter was on the lookout for me, also. This is one she sent, and I make it often. -Eleanor Carroll, Ellicott City, Maryland"
mmmmmmmmm Comfort food. We love the Blue Moon Burgers at a local diner. But after finding a deep-fried fly in my french fries, I refuse to go back!! We prefer our burger patties with no "fillers," just the beef and the toppings.
"This is a wonderfully simple chunky soup. I use good quality Irish back bacon but if you can't get this, it tastes equally good made with pancetta. The dark green colour of the cabbage alongside the tomatoes gives the soup a beautiful colour."
Bricked Chicken Served on a Bed of Spinach with Pancetta Dressing
My friends are always bugging me for "quick n' easy" recipes. Then I give them a stir-fried chicken recipe, for instance, and they come back to me and say, "Hey, that chicken took me half an hour to chop, and the two tablespoons of garlic was a pain to mince." So I'll show them how I mince garlic in 10 seconds with my Chinese cleaver, and they say, "if we tried that, we'd lose our fingers". What is a chef to do? T
I had a chicken breast sitting in the fridge which had to be used, and my basil plants are looking healthy, so I decided to make a Thai-style green curry (as always, my recipes are authentically-based, but not truly authentic because I can’t resist fiddling with things).
I created it myself because I really wanted to combine the spices and flavor of enchilladas and the thickness and layers of lasagna. This dish is loved by everyone I serve it to. Very simple and fast to make!!
Another recipe for my fig-lovin' friends. I haven't tried this, I don't have much experience with figs. Recipe is from the Chicago Sun-Times.
"I came up with this recipe years ago by combining a couple of family favorites. Easy and versatile, it's great for potlucks. I can make the sauce ahead and use all wings or leg quarters when they're on sale. This is a welcome entree at senior citizen fellowship dinners. -Phyllis Minter, Wakefield, Kansas"
Its creamy, hot, goes well with chips or breads. Its the perfect blend of an abundance of ingredients. This dip is a hit at any party you take it to.
"These make-ahead stress-free bites will make a delightful finger food for any dinner party or special occasion. Lindsay® Manzanilla stuffed olives, shrimp, and sweet cherry tomatoes are lightly coated in a Caesar dressing before being arranged on individual skewers alongside smoked Mozzarella and fresh basil."
This is the best sandwich! Its easy and sweet!
This is so easy to make and will impress everyone. Its always the first appetizer to be finished.
My mom makes a few amazing home made dishes this is one of them.
Not sure exactly when this came about. All I can remember is being the only one who ate it while everyone else stuck their nose up at it. Now, everyone that I get to try it is obsessed. This is an easy recipe and very healthy. A great way to start the day...or end the night.
"Almost like a cupcake. If you want more chocolate and/or more sweetness, you might try adding chocolate chips."
I recently cooked 96 of these for a large gathering...not a crumb left.
A great dish from Australia combining the diverse flavors of India, Egypt and Asia. The recipe is featured in Jim Shirley's (family friend) "Good Grits" cookbook.
This recipe comes from a very lovely and very young 90 year old Italian lady who can still outcook all of us. It is quite simply the best biscotti I have ever tasted.
This is a nice Sangria without the wine. Great for kid parties.
I like to make this dish for cocktail parties, holidays, or for a day of football and have never received a complaint :) As for the history of the dish: I threw some ingredients together that I thought would be in the dish and I think it turned out fine. You decide and "chomp" if you like it. Cheers!
This is a great way to get the kids to eat chicken breast! It's juicy and yummy... my kids love it - and one of them is VERY picky!
This is an incredibly quick and easy weeknight dinner. Serve with a side of steamed green beans or asparagus. Or on a bitter greens salad. Yummy!
Creamy, delicious, just better that out of a box! I serve this with green beans and potato rolls.
I am putting this here mainly for me to work with. I just had a sample of this at our local Weis and it was fantastic. So if you happen to like this version? You better save it. The original [which this currently is] is posted to Real Cajun Recipes by Racheal L Tupper from Meaux, LA

I learnt this from a chef in Marseille.........as I travelled thru France I came to know that this is a must dish in big restaurants.......in France!
Another favorite Barefoot Contessa recipe. This is great for brunch served with chicken-apple sausage or bacon, and a fruit salad.
At a recent dinner party one of my mentors, Kathi Kaplan, made this delicious cheesecake recipe that she found on Epicurious. In her version, she replaces the cream cheese with 2 fat-free and 2 low-fat options. I'm usually not a fan of lower-fat substitutions - but in this case, it was awesome!! However, you must use high-quality chocolate - it really does make the difference.
I put this together based on a search for something different to do with boneless pork chops and what I had on hand. Very simple, basic but different.
Another recent concoction based off a desire for something different but based on what was on hand.
I watched my parents make this as I was growing up and I do remember licking my fingers after I was done mixxing and rolling them and the taste of salt on my fingers.I couldn't wait for these to be done, so good:)

"Chicken breasts sauteed with onions and mushrooms, then braised in herbs, spices and a brandy/chicken broth mixture. Simmer all together and smile!"
"This is a great chicken marinade! Allow chicken to marinate for no longer than 4 hours, because the lemon juice will begin to cook the chicken. When grilled, the chicken turns a beautiful caramel color, which makes great presentation. This is my fiance's favorite chicken."
My boyfriend's mother made this appetizer over Christmas and it was phenomenal, I couldn't stop eating them...who knew water chestnuts could make meatballs so good!!!
Cajun seasoning spikes this soup with heat, so adjust according to your taste. Serve with: Jalape?o corn bread and carrot sticks. Dessert: Cheesecake topped with thawed sliced frozen peaches.
"A delicious blend of beef, Italian peppers, and cheese. Make ahead for busy days. It reheats wonderfully in the microwave."
here is a salsa that can be used with any main dish, sandwich , wraps or as side dish & appetizer.
I usually equate a pot roast with a hunk of beef that is cheap (true) and tough (only if you do it wrong) and so, I have never attempted to make a pot roast. The pot roast stars seemed to align last week and I decided to give large hunk of meat cooking a try after a work colleague (and total sister in cooking) told me how fond she is of cooking meats, and gave me some pointers.
I love this bread, so much. I bought a Dutch Oven just so I could make this. I received a Cooks Illustrated subscription for Christmas that featured this recipe - it's so easy.
From Cooking Light. This is very tasty and pretty easy to make!
My southern roots have a strong tie with this cake. I came across a recipe that was credited to the Waldorf-Astoria hotel in New York. I do not know if that is true but I took the recipe and tweaked it to produce what turns out to be a moist, tasty cake. My friend Veta requested this cake for her 78th birthday, hence the picture. I recommend making the layers up to two days in advance.
This is a very good, easy, everyday recipe. On a busy day, I usually dump the ingredients (except the cheese, cilantro and sour cream--save those for serving) into the crockpot and serve it wrapped in tortillas when ready (add the cheese, cilantro and sour cream before wrapping the tortilla.) Ole!!
"Simple meatballs with an unusual chili sauce/grape jelly coating. Quite a combination of tastes and textures. Note: After cooking, I like to keep the meatballs warm in a slow cooker until ready to serve."

Perfect Summer Dish. Can be made a day ahead and travels well if kept chilled. This was a favorite meal to take to the houseboat or cabin for the weekend. Make it on Friday at home, store it in the cooler until Saturday lunch. Any leftovers will be even better on Sunday! Low calorie too, if you go easy on the dressing.
This recipe (and photo) comes from Elise at Simply Recipes. It was simple to make and very tasty. Mine needed longer cooking time, so keep that in mind.
this recipe used to my aunt from va and i used to eat Strawberry Nut Bread when i was around 1 4 years old ..
I used to hate cooking a lot more than I do now, and this was one of the recipes that convinced me I could do it. It's about the easiest thing you can imagine and you don't even need to use the oven (you can, but it's not so slick).
Well I love ranch dressing and to me, it makes the perfect seasoning on so many things.
Another easy, always tasty side dish for a hearty meal. By cooking the polenta in the oven, you save having to sit there and stir it forever, AND it comes out smooth and creamy from the even cooking.
You could use this dish vegetarian or with beef or chicken. Also you could use another vegetable instead of okra such as potato or eggplant.
Posted for me. It is one of the other half's favorites. Modified from another recipe
Best risotto I've made yet. I changed and added to this recipe I found from a family recipe on Food Network.

I cooked 3 of these last night for 25 teenagers. They ate it like they hadn't eaten in days. And, as a matter of fact, I could become addicted to it too.
One of our family favorite for summer. Great for entertainment too. Specially if you are by the water
Thai food is really delicious. It called Khai Luk Kuei in Thai.
A fun new "twist" on an old favorite.
This is the traditional holiday pumpkin pie. This classic recipe has been on LIBBY'S? Pumpkin labels since 1950. This pie is easy to prepare and even easier to enjoy. Just mix, pour, bake for a delicious homemade tradition.
